Once again - post your system specs.

    You know what to do.

    Current setup:

    ASUS P5B Deluxe motherboard
    Intel C2D E6600 @ 2.4GHz (will OC soon to 3.2GHz)
    Zalman CNPS 9500 heatsink
2GB Crucial Ballistix @ 800MHz 5-5-5-18 (need to OC, either down the timings or up the clock to 1066, see below)
    PNY 8800GT 512MB (600core 900vRAM, will also OC soon, to ~700core ~1000vRAM)
    Seagate 7200.11 500GB HDD - primary drive
    2x500GB storage drives
    Pioneer DVD-R/RW optical drive (IDE)
    SoundBlaster Fatal1ty Pro sound card
    750W PSU
    Logitech X-230 2.1 speakers
    Logitech G5 wired laser mouse
    Logitech LX710 wireless keyboard
    KDS 22" Monitor @ 1680x1050
Dual-boot with 32-bit XP Pro SP2 and 64-bit Vista Ultimate

    Possible upgrade soon:
I currently have an ASUS 680i board and another 2GB of Crucial Ballistix memory. The P5B Deluxe doesn't like having 4GB, not even with BIOS updates and a 64-bit OS. Or I'm thinking of getting 2x2GB of Mushkin 800MHz @ 4-4-4-12 timings. Not sure how I'm going to approach the upgrade. Anybody want some spare parts? Here's what I have:

    AMD 64 X2 6000+ @ 3.0GHz
    Foxconn 590i motherboard
    2x1GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 RAM @ 800MHz 5-5-5-15
    XFX 8800GTS (320MB, G80 chip) @ 575MHz

I need to get rid of these parts; they're just taking up space right now and I really don't have much use for them.
    500W PSU

I just ordered two 4 gig kits of Mushkin XP PC2-8000 Redline 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1000. W00t 8GBs of Redline goodness.

I guess I will have to go to the dark side and switch to 64 bit vista. (Cross fingers that service pack 1 actually fixed vista)

You might wanna look into tiny Vista

It guts it of all redundant/unimportant things, and it runs on 128 MB or RAM.

I'm using Tiny XP and it only takes up 64. It's quite the program.

HAHA, no thanks. I have played with both and if I wanted to go minimalist then it would be linux for me. I usually have a couple of diffrent OS's loaded in VMware at any given time so I need the RAM.
