Tried Vista for a little bit but reverted back to XP and have stayed with it since.
I've recently come across a mod that has interested me but before I put any work into it I want to know something.
Basically, how many people in GFC and out use Windows XP and how many use Windows Vista?
Please don't use this thread to bash OS versions as it's not for that purpose. And please answer in the pole above as well if you're going to make a post :P

When Dan build my computer I stuck with XP.
Been using Vista, some minor annoyances, but those are easily taken care of. (and it's so SHINY)

"They follow and lead, but only as you pass. Dress yourself in darkest black, and they are darker still. Always they flee the light, though without the sun there would be none."
I'm still with XP 64-bit, have yet to see or use Vista (are we even still allowed to say the V-word?). I like this O/S with one execption, the default browser is 64-bit and anything that needs flash requires me to bring up a 32 verision and copy/paste the url's. (if someone knows the method to change the default browser...)
Try renaming the 64-bit iexplorer.exe to something else, then the 32-bit one should be used by default. If it doesn't work, undo the name change.
I believe that you will have to go through XP's "Default Programs" option and set it that way. I can't remember if it can be accessed via the Control Panel or the Accessories menu in the start button thingie.
Come on everyone, I need to hear back from a lot more people before I can make an attempt and to be honest I really want to try it out.
I'll edit the pole to include an "other" option for those not on Windows as well. It could prove useful for future efforts :P Code Monkeys need to know these things.
i use xp not a fan of vista as me and it seem to disagree .....alot -.-
This is awesome. In the time between the thread starting and now, the program in question has extended over both operating systems (had to do with a user permission change that needed editing. It was set as read only in Vista so when they changed it it now works haha).
